Holiday Huddle : Amaryllis Potting & Wreath Making

We welcome Tu Le back to Woven Roots Farm to host two back-to-back workshops! On Saturday, November 12th, Tu will offer both an amaryllis-potting workshop, and a wreath-making workshop. Participants of both workshops (The Holiday Huddle) with receive Tu’s Vietnamese lunch at no additional cost. Lunch is available for purchase with each of the individual workshops.

The youngest of twelve, born in Phu Quoc, Vietnam, Tu is a first generation American farmer, floral designer, chef, storyteller, artist, activist and land steward. The co-owner of 328North, a small 1/2 acre farm, he has been farming on land he shares with his partner, Matt Bertles. Using the farm as his current medium, Tu connects with his Vietnamese Culture and shares his experiences with his community from seed to chopstick.

Amaryllis Potting will begin at 10:30. Participants will choose a vessel (ceramic, glass, wood or metal) and an amaryllis bulb (4-6 color options). Potting, decorating, and care instructions will be covered. Cost of workshop includes materials (starting at $48.00).

Lunch will be offered at 12:30, followed by Wreath Making at 1:30 where participants will learn how to create a wreath entirely from foraged materials. Tu will provide grapevine to make the rings, evergreen branches and more! Cost of workshop includes materials (starting at $48.00).
